For 25 years Child Advocates of Fort Bend has been showcasing homes lavishly decorated for the holidays in Fort Bend County’s most beautiful neighborhoods as a way of raising money to support our programs. With the help of professional decorators and florists, five or six homeowners decorate their homes for Christmas and open them to the public during the second weekend of December. Guests purchase tickets to tour the homes and admire the talents of the decorators and florists and the homeowners’ personal style. Guests are greeted at the front door by volunteer hosts who direct them along a pre-arranged route through the home. Each room is staffed with a volunteer. There will be cookies and refreshments at the exits of three of the homes. This is one of Child Advocates of Fort Bend’s largest fundraising events. Ninety-four percent of the proceeds go directly toward services for children.
Are the homes all in the same neighborhood?
No, the homes are in different neighborhoods in Fort Bend County. We vary the neighborhoods each year. The 2016 Home Tour will feature homes in the Sugar Creek, Belknap Brookside, Telfair and Riverstone neighborhoods.
Yes, you can view the homes on your own schedule and pace. Your ticket allows you entrance into each home once during the two tour days.
The addresses and directions to the homes are on the back of the tickets. They are placed in a recommended order top to bottom, however, you may visit the homes in any order you prefer.

No, your ticket is good for all hours that the homes are open during the two days of the Home Tour. You may view each of the homes once. Your ticket will be marked as you enter each home.
All children 3 year and over require a ticket. Since this is a fundraiser, there are no discounts. Please note that strollers are not permitted into the homes. The tour is recommended for children over 10 years old.
Parking is available along the streets near the homes. Volunteers are on site to assist and direct you toward the parking areas. Handicapped spots are reserved near the front door.
These are private residences and are not considered to be handicap accessible. Handicapped parking spaces are available near the front door for those who require it.
The Home Tour takes place rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable.
No, for our homeowner’s privacy, we request that no photographs be taken. We have designated photographers who will take photos of the homes which will be used for publicity. Select photos from each home will be on our website after the Home Tour.
No food, drinks or strollers are allowed in the homes. Please wear soft soled shoes since many of our homes have sensitive wood floors.
We select homes in many different ways. Often they are referred to us through interior decorators, friends of the agency, or we are contacted directly by the homeowners. To be considered, the homeowners must enjoy decorating elaborately for Christmas and be open to the public viewing their home. CAFB staff will tour the home and determine if the location and flow of the home is suitable for the Home Tour.
Do you like to decorate for Christmas? If you do and you are interested in showcasing your home
on a future Home Tour, please be sure to attend the Christmas Home Tour and
contact Lisa Moore at 281-344-5108 or email@example.com for more information
about showcasing your home.
Volunteers are welcome. More than 800 volunteers are needed to help with
this event. Working on the Home Tour is a lot of fun and a great way to meet
new people. If you would like more information on volunteering to help with
the Christmas Home Tour, please contact Lisa Moore at 281-344-5108 or
firstname.lastname@example.org. We are always looking for new additions to our team!
